Chapter Meeting: “Long Warranties Are for Losers”
This evening from 6-8:30 p.m., the Toronto Chapter meeting will be held at Fontana Gardens (www.fontanagardens.com), where Jim Payne, president of S-Market Strategies, will present “Long Warranties Are for Losers.” This presentation is based on the May/June 2007 Sbusiness cover story by the same name. This keynote presentation will discuss warranty strategy considerations that include marketplace perception, internal factors, and short- and long-term financial impacts on the business as a whole. Jim will present real-world examples using a revenue-forecasting tool that he has developed that will allow a company to model potential scenarios of product/services pricing and warranty strategies. This modeling method for services and product stakeholders provides the opportunity for the team to predict their results prior to the ultimate implementation.
