Spring Event

Chicago Chapter's Spring Event Host Glen Eastep

On April 8, the Chicago Chapter offered the first in a series of presentations on current service management issues. Hosted by Glen Eastep, director of outsource repair operations, North America Repair Operations, the luncheon meeting was held at Motorola’s Integrated Supply Chain Headquarters in Arlington Heights, Illinois.

“Repair Operations—2008 Focus and Trends” covered operations and strategic topics facing the repair industry today and the ways in which Motorola is managing them. Glen covered the importance of on-time delivery, repair quality issues, key initiatives, keeping costs controlled, and managing repair vendors.

Participants in the Chicago area have a unique opportunity to network with one of the largest concentrations of service operations in the world, in their own management environments. The chapter Web site, www.chicagochapter.com, has information about future events.
