John Wild, President
Chapter Wins Coveted Award
The Finger Lakes Chapter of Upstate New York has been recognized with the 2007 AFSMI Innovative Chapter Award. This international award recognizes the chapter that has developed creative ways to engage and deliver value to the local members and the services industry. Chapter president Jim Payne accepted the award at the black-tie awards banquet on September 18, 2007 during the Association’s 37th annual S-Business World Conference and Expo in Orlando, Florida.
Chapter Announces New President
After serving for three years as president of the Finger Lakes Chapter, Jim Payne (S-Market Strategies) has passed on the reigns to John Wild (Kuehne + Nagel). During the past three years under Jim’s direction, the chapter has continually developed new ways to increase member value through the development of a chapter Web site, virtual lending library, robust newsletters, and increased diversity of chapter events.
Letter from the Outgoing President
Dear AFSMI Worldwide Chapter Presidents and Members,
I hand off the Finger Lakes Chapter president’s position to John Wild with confidence that his energy, enthusiasm, and professionalism will continue to evolve the value that we bring to our members. John has been an active AFSMI member who has introduced new programs and meeting formats as the chairman of the programs committee.
I will continue to support the Finger Lakes Chapter as a past president by contributing on projects at John Wild’s direction. I also will offer any assistance that I can provide to the other chapters worldwide. I have enjoyed working with and developing friendships with the worldwide chapter leadership team. Please don’t hesitate to contact me at 585-368-0567 or jimpayne@smarketstrategies.com.
