Iron Mountain Hires New CTO
Iron Mountain Incorporated, a global provider of information protection and storage services, announced that Fred Engel has joined Iron Mountain Digital as the chief technology officer. Engel will be responsible for the strategy and development of Iron Mountain Digital’s comprehensive suite of data protection and e-records management software and services. With more than 30 years of corporate strategy and product development experience, he most recently served as executive vice president and chief technology officer for Concord Communications until it was acquired by Computer Associates in 2005. SRA Appoints VP, Government Affairs
SRA International, Inc., a provider of technology and strategic consulting services and solutions to federal government organizations, announced that Charles (Chuck) Brooks has joined SRA as vice president, government affairs. Verizon Wireless Names Senior VP and CTO
Verizon Wireless announced that Anthony Melone, a seasoned telecommunications executive, has been named senior vice president and chief technical officer. Formerly vice president of the company’s network operations, Melone has assumed full responsibility for heading the team that supports the technology, architecture, planning, design, and operation of the coast-to-coast wireless voice and data network. Metrix Automates New York City Buildings Inspection Process
Service management and mobile field service software solutions provider Metrix announced that the New York City Department of Buildings will use Metrix service automation software to automate their inspection process. As part of the Buildings Field Inspection Recording and Scheduling Technologies project (B-FIRST), the Department of Buildings (Buildings) will use Metrix 5 software to schedule inspections and route inspectors throughout the city. Metrix’s software will give Buildings full end-to-end support for inspection scheduling, inspector assignment and routing, recording of results, and displaying them on the Web. Intermec and Infolinx Help Streamline Records Management
In efforts to help meet HIPAA compliance and improve efficiency, Capital Health System announced that it has implemented a file-tracking system using a healthcare records management solution from Infolinx Systems Solutions and passive UHF RFID technologies from Intermec. Capital Health System is a 589-bed acute-care and teaching hospital located in Trenton, New Jersey. The RFID-based solution was implemented in its Sleep Centers to manage the 5,000 patient files in use there. The system is a comprehensive records solution that tracks patient files from beginning to end, including a records retention program. Edentify Enters Healthcare Market with Resource One Agreement
