If the reviews from the attendees were any indication, the 2008 Technology Services Europe (TSE) Conference in Paris, France, was an overwhelming success. Two full days packed with relevant and compelling content by leading worldwide companies along with numerous opportunities to network with other service professionals from around the globe made this a truly meaningful and memorable event.

AFSMI holds the Chapter Presidents
Meeting on April 1 in Paris, France.

This event would not have been complete without the inclusion of the AFSMI Chapter Presidents meeting, which was held the day prior to the conference. This private meeting had representation from the following AFSMI chapters: France, Germany, U.K., Switzerland, The Netherlands, Italy, and Austria. JB Wood, AFSMI CEO and president, and Denise Villamil, AFSMI director of member programs, led the discussions centered on the 2008-2009 plans to build additional value to the AFSMI membership through a host of new and existing program offerings and chapter support services. Chapter presidents weighed in on these offerings from their specific regional perspectives and offered their support.

Dick will hold a two-year term and will officially begin his role on June 1, 2008. We would like to officially thank Martin for his time and valuable contributions. Additionally, we welcome Dick to his new role!

At the conclusion of the meeting, the chapter presidents, the European chapter president, and AFSMI corporate representatives were united in their quest to grow membership and build a stronger association in 2008-2009. AFSMI has made great strides this past year in providing a robust set of resources (benchmark, research, inquiry services, white papers, Webcasts, networking opportunities, and more) to AFSMI members and plans to continue supporting members with increasingly valuable resources into the future.

The next in-person chapter meeting will be held at the 2008 S-Business World Conference, taking place October 20-22 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
